Family History: It’s All Relative

I have created this site primarily for my genealogy research.  Hence, most of the content will be related to family history.  But I also have decided to include some of my other favorite hobbies and interests as well.

I started into genealogy a few years ago and, like many new family historians, thought anything I found posted on the World Wide Web was good, well documented info and that I should include it in my files.  Well, I guess you probably know by now that I was very wrong in that assumption.  I am now in the process of redoing all of my research to make sure it is as accurate as possible and as well documented as I can make it.  I hope with the new knowledge I have gleaned over the past few years on proper research that all of my future endeavors will be information that can/will be used by other family historians to further or add to their own research.

I’ve had little time to invest in genealogy research over the last year, other things have consumed my time.  I plan to add all of my lines soon, even though I’ve not been able to re-source everything.  I think the information, taken in context, can be valuable to others as it is.

 

My new section, Genealogy Resources, is now up and running.  Included are some links, research advice and other interesting (I hope) content.  At least a partial listing of graves found at Flowers Family Cemetery in Wayne Co., WV has now been completed also.

I’ve just added a page about my work as a writer called My Writing.  As time allows I hope to add actual examples or excerpts of my work.
